CLASSIFICATION
I.Major composer or minor compsers:
Major composers: The Musical Trinity are instances of Major composers. Rhe high quality of their musical compositions and their originality in handling ragas have entitled them to be ranked as Major composers.
Minor composers: Their compositions are just good and concert worthy. Example:Mysore Sadasiva Roa.
II. Born composers and Received training to become a composer:
Born composer: Ex-Thyagaraj
Received the skill:Ex- Madurai Srinivasa Iyer. He became a composer on account of the grace of Goddes Meenakshi , on a particular occassion.
III.Composers who were also poets:
Ex:Thyagaraja. His verses shows his poetic genius.
IV.Composers whonappeal classes and who appeals masses:
Thyagaraja's music appeals to both classes and masses. Muthuswamy Dikshidar's music
appeals more to the classes.
